Introducing MAZWell Innovations
The challenge of making progress towards social, economic, and environmental sustainability goals that we currently face presents us with an interesting collection of Gordian knots. It can be difficult to follow the “strands” and understand how they intersect, and even more so to untangle. At their core, these problems are firmly rooted in multiple complex systems that interact and collide with each other in often unpredictable ways, leaving the impact of traditional strategies, solutions, and policy interventions either limited or ineffective on their best days, counter-productive or detrimental on their worst.
Making impactful progress across social, economic, and environmental sustainability leads us directly into the heart some of our most complex systems we rely on – financial, healthcare, education, urban development, environmental ecosystems, multiple governance levels, and so on. At first glance – and really, at second glance – tackling these challenges can feel like a daunting task, particularly when past progress on these fronts has either slowed considerably, stalled, or regressed (or in some cases, simply no progress at all has been made).
It's time for a different approach, rethinking how to solve these problems more effectively, equitably, targeting the root causes of these flawed systems. MAZWell Innovations was founded on this philosophy. We believe that innovative technology solutions can be instrumental in achieving social, economic, and environmental sustainability goals, fundamentally reshaping how outcomes are delivered without losing sight of the human element. Additionally, a different approach is needed for dissecting and disentangling these systems, finding the systems’ flaws and why they aren’t producing the desired results.
These systems didn’t become flawed or broken or complex overnight. Many actors contributed over time, each bringing their own intentions and motivations. Untangling and changing these systems to better serve the people they are intended to benefit will similarly take some time and multiple participants. We want to partner and collaborate with those people sharing a passion and commitment to bringing about the much-needed progress on these sustainability goals.
